Tennessee begins sesqui events

Tennessee, which played a huge role in the War Between the States, kicks off a 4-and-a-half-year observation of the war's sesquicentennial this week with several free events. Gov. Phil Bredesen and others will host a program Friday at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
